A brilliant place to stay

I warmly recommend this property. It is in a great location. This is our fifth year here and we plan to return next year. .It’s a perfect place to stay if you are interested in the fantastic geology of the island

Nice break in lovely Aberffraw

We stayed for 2 weeks in late August/early September and had a really nice time.
The house was roomy, comfortable and well-equipped. There were only 2 of us and a dog so we only used the main front bedroom – the bed was large and comfortable with plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, and the en-suite was handy at night, although we used the main bathroom when washing. The other 2 bedrooms looked nice though.
The bathroom is pretty big, however the toilet seat needs fixing as it wasn’t attached properly to the toilet and so wobbles around.
The kitchen is a decent size and has everything you would need.
The main front room has a nice comfy L-shaped settee and a good sized telly. There is a sound bar, but it didn’t work.
There’s a little sun room containing the washing machine (which didn’t work, but soon got replaced with a new one) and various dog cushions, blankets and board games.
There’s a small lawn which is very handy if you have a dog and it’s easy to park outside, enough room for a couple of cars.
Aberffraw itself is small but has a nice cafe, pub and shop. We ate a few times at the cafe and can recommend it (not open Monday and Tuesday though) and ate once at the pub (only serves food Thursday-Sunday with a pretty limited menu).
The beach is gorgeous and is a 15 minute walk away, following the river from the village. There are lovely picturesque dunes backing onto the beach too, which provide a nice circular walk back.
We walked from Aberffraw to Rhosneigr along the coastal path and got the bus back – about 5 miles with some lovely views.
We also had several nice days out to Beaumaris, Benllech, Penmon, Amlwych, Breakwater Country Park (Holyhead), Newborough.
We would recommend Aberffraw and this house and would love to return one day.
Llangefni is a 20 minute drive away and has a number of supermarkets so is your best bet to stock up.

Due to illness my husband and I were unable to attend but my parents took our children in our place, with their dog Jessie. They found the cottage clean and homely with everything they needed for a lovely stay. The children enjoyed the area and Pam was on hand to offer advice and recommendations. Despite the weather they enjoyed their stay and we would be happy to return to the lovely cottage. Thank you for looking after our family.

We had a lovely stay, we walked several different routes straight from the cottage door. It’s a peaceful place just to watch the water relax we will definitely be back

A beautiful home with great location

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very homely and clean, with a surprisingly beautiful view from the garden and windows.
The location was brilliant – very quiet but a short stroll to either beach (which were stunning) and to town.
Coastal holidays, who we booked with, we’re excellent as they promptly returned some property I’d left as well.
