We stayed one night and we enjoyed every moment which we spent there. it was amazing, owner provided every thing needed and must recommend everyone to book this cottage who planning to visit north wales and zip wire.
“Charming Quarryman’s cottage adapted with style”
Excellent cottage. We used it as a base while we were in the area to visit zipworld and snowdonia. It was ideally situated for both of these.
We really enjoyed staying in the wonderful little cottage. The pictures don’t do it justice, it has so much character. Arriving to a lit fire after a long drive was more than we could have wished for. We never met Lynne, the owner, but communications were great. She even rang to advise a route to the cottage avoiding the floods.
The house is heated by a multi fuel woodburner and Lynne kept us stocked up on coal to keep the cottage cosy and warm. The rustic kitchen had all the basics provided and finding fresh bread and milk is always a treat.
The 3 double beds make it great for friends (we were two couples) or families, and the ‘upstairs’ room has lots or charm.
The location was great for exploring Snowdonia. We did the obligatory walk up Snowdon, only to discover some of the best walks in Snowdonia (the Devils Kitchen) were just a few miles from the cottage. Bethesda has a couple of small supermarkets.
We thought the cottage was great value for money and would consider staying again.
“fantastic location and wonderful cottage”
What a lovely location this cottage is at. Close to Anglesey, Barmouth, Bangor, Caernarvon so plenty of places to visit. The cottage was clean, quirky and a great size for us. We had cake, butter, milk and coffee provided, along with teatowels and bed linen. The log burner was easy to use and the back garden was a wonderful rustic garden The cottage mezzanine was fab for our girls as they used this as their own private sitting area. Overall would recommend this cottage highly, though the steps up to the mezzanine are steep and not for the infirm or or very young children, however there are 2 double bedrooms and bathroom, kitchen sitting room all downstairs are on even ground so safe for all. We had a wonderful time here. The owner will provide fireguard and stairgate if needed.
“Character cottage, strategically placed for North Wales.”
We all really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything we needed, combined with lots of character features, such as flag floors and a multi-fuel stove. When we arrived there was a lovely letter from the owner, letting us know about the cottage as well as some of the attractions in the area. There was tea, coffee, sugar and a very tasty cake for us to enjoy while perusing the tourist information leaflets also left for us. The stove was ready to be lit whenever we were ready, with plenty of fuel for other evenings.
A pathway from the back of the cottage joined onto a public footpath that could be followed to the bottom of Snowdon!
The cottage is ideally located for historical, cultural and adventurous pursuits across North Wales. The location is rural and quiet, although the proximity to Bethesda meant we had all essentials nearby. We will be visiting again to enjoy the scenery and get to the places we simply didn’t have time for!
The property has a true cottage feel.from the minute we booked this cottage we cannot fault it. The owner Lynne was great, fantastic communication and when we arrived left ample instructions for how things work and even prepared a fire for us. Firstly the cottage – 2 double bedrooms downstairs and bathroom with open plan living and kitchen. Up some quaint stairs a further bedroom and landing area. It had everything you needed, very clean and cosy. The area is beautiful and lots to do. About 5 min walk from zip world. The garden is an added bonus and has access to a great little walk along the back. The location is brilliant, A little stream just down the road and ample more walks in the area. Tesco for all essentials is about 800 yards up the road. Anglesey is only about half hour drive away. The location is so great and the views are priceless. We could not fault this at all. It really is a gem of a place and we would not hesitate to recommend it. We will definitely come back again as there is still so much we want to do. Only problem was our stay was not long enough….Thanks to Lynne for allowing us to share her beautiful home. Anyone that books this will not be disappointed.
