We had an absolutely lovely stay at one of the Glasfryn cottages. Lovely quiet setting with beautiful countryside to explore. Helen the host couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Lots of sporting activities to do in the area if you’re looking for an active get away. Would love to come back again and stay!
“Coachhouse & Rose Cottage”
Booked the Coachhouse and Rose Cottage for a week at New Year for a family get together. Everyone had a great time from the children to the dogs. It is the first time we have been to the Coachhouse and it was lovely – we were really surprised at how spacious it was. Rose Cottage was just as cosy as always. Looking forward to going back again.
“Rose Cottage – St Dwynwen weekend.”
Booked this accommodation for myself and partner for the weekend, wanting a quiet and cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings; we were not disappointed. The cottage itself is full of both character and functionality, a good kitchen, comfortable sofas and beds as well as exposed beams and a proper fireplace. With plenty of logs for the wood burner it was a perfect weekend.. even if some of the weather was somewhat suspect! Could not recommend this place enough!
We visited the cottage twice for winter breaks. The cottage is set in the grounds of a beautiful estate and has an outstanding rear garden for barbies and children. The building itself is sumptuously furnished. Our bed was specially imported from Paris apparently and was the most comfortable both of us have ever slept in. The lounge is equipped with TV etc and there are a number of videos available to flop in front of, along with board games for those who fancy engaging in some brain work after a long day out in stunning north Wales.
The house was heated with radiators, but best of all was the log burning stove to warm your toes to. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook fresh home made meals or simply microwave something from the local supermarkets or the farm shop which is only a short drive away. Nearer still is Glasfryn Parc where you can eat, drink and entertain yourself or children all day with go karts, quad bikes, bowling, archery fishing etc.
Loved the place and the owners were very friendly too with advice of where to visit etc. It’s now the only place we would consider staying if in that part of Wales.
Very cosy cottage with friendly owners, pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, the only thing we had to ask for was a battery for the smoke alarm which was sorted for us straight away. There was no hot water in the sink in the en-suite but this was easily rectified by running the shower into the basin, it would also have been nice to have a shower over the bath in the main bathroom. We had sent a small shopping list to Helen for some producet from the farm shop and on this list was the homemade lasagne as we knew we would arrive late and not want to cook, it was delicous! This is a really nice touch to start your holiday.
“Brilliant for a group get away!”
We hired out Rose Cottage & Garden Cottage in July 2011 for birthday celebrations and could not fault either of the houses.
We initially wanted to book the large house or Coach house as there was a group of us, but due to them being booked up we were offered the two above seperate cottages as they are only a stones throw away from each other anyway.
Rose Cottage is so cute…a perfect cosey cottage it says it sleeps 4 but it has a large double, a twin room and two small bunks in the attic, all in all you could have 4 adults and 2 children at a push i would say. Fully equiped kitchen, lovely open fire, free logs, and a big bathroom. Could not fault it in anyway!
Garden Cottage, equally as cosey is set in the most amazing gardens too. One double & two twin rooms sleeps 6 in total. Again fully eqiped kitchen, beautiful lounge with open fire.
You can’t go wrong with either, its like being home from home but better.
We are booking up again for this year…Cant wait.
