“Christmas at Glasfryn Fawr”
What a wonderful place to spend special family time! Not only did we celebrate Christmas but, a special birthday on the 25th. Log fires, mulled wine, wonderful company, silly games, lovely surroundings (even snow in the distance) led to a very memorable time which will be remembered for a long time to come. Hopefully our two and a half year old twin grand-daughters will have some memories. The farm house felt welcoming from the moment we stepped through the doors, and we would like to thank Helen for the extra requests we made. Hopefully we will return again, during the summer months next time, to see things differently – maybe lots of sun!
Our family have been many times to Glasfryn Fawr and go as often as we are able. Everyone thoroughly enjoys being there from my Dad who is 90 (he enjoys watching the wake boarding) to the youngest who is 2 (and the dog really enjoys himself!). The teens to twenties enjoy the open space for football, cricket, badminton and if they fancy a change then there is Glasfryn Activity Parc just a field away where they have been go karting, bowling and even had a couple of wake boarding lessons. In the evenings everyone can enjoy the barbecue. We are going again this April and I can’t wait!
“Glasfryn Fawr = Bliss”
Me and my family have stayed at glasfryn fawr cottage and garden cottage many times. Both cottages are superb and the peace and tranquility is to die for. If you want a peaceful holiday in a gorgeous location in gorgeous accomadation then Glasfryn Cottages are for you.
“Rose Cottage and Glasfryn Fawr”
Our family spent Christmas at Glasfryn this year. From initial enquiry we found the owners extremely helpful and accommodating, and even put some Christmas decorations up for us! Glasfryn Fawr was the most beautiful old farmhouse, with a fantastic kitchen that easily catered for our group of 11 on Christmas day (having 2 cookers is a great benefit). It was very spacious and well equipped for a large group. The weather was questionable (to say the least!) during our stay, but we were always warm and cosy in the cottage which was great.
Rose cottage was very quaint, larger than we had expected which is a plus and again very well equipped for cooking over Christmas.
Both cottages are in the most beautiful location, great for walking and sightseeing. Another plus point was the fact that you could take a short walk down to the activity centre which had bowling and a soft play area for children so even in bad weather there is something to do.
Out of our party of 11, all would definitely return to these cottages, we had a great Christmas there
Excellent accommodation in rural environment
