We have recently returned from a lovely stay at this bungalow. The bungalow is in a great location and the village of Moelfre is gorgeous. The bungalow is very close to the local amenities and the area is surrounded by lovely walks. We were greeted on arrival by the owners parents who were very friendly and cooperative and explained the keys, hot water and garden facilities. They very kindly left us a bottle of wine and some milk too. The bungalow was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We took our dog to stay in the property and the garden was safe and secure. When visiting Moelfre a visit to Ann’s Pantry is a must. The food is exceptional however make sure you book as it gets very busy and is only open at the weekends for evening meals. We also recommend the food at the Kinmel Arms and grabbing a coffee and ice-cream at the Kiosk at Lligwy Beach. Our favourite walk was to Lligwy Beach along the coastal path and for those who want to walk a bit further we also walked along the coastal path to Red Wharf Bay. We love the village of Moelfre and would recommend this property.
Our stay at No 23
All fine except one or two small things. The yard could do with a little tidying as there were several loose slabs etc and it was difficult to get into and out of the car once it was parked in the drive. Also, info on how to switch the heated towel rail on and off would have been handy. Other than that we have no real complaints and will book it again.
Three ladies on a walking holiday
We enjoyed staying at the bungalow but found it to be rather cold as the storage heaters had been turned off. Having said this there is a good gas fire in the lounge. We were surprised that we had to boil water in a kettle for washing up as there was no hot water in the kitchen or bathroom apart from the shower. There was a emersion heater but were advised that it took too long to heat up so better to boil a kettle. One of my friends said her single bed was very squeaky so she didn’t sleep very well. All in all we had a good time and the bungalow is in an excellent location being just a five minute walk to the shop, café, pub and beach.
A very warm welcome
“Spent a lovely long week-end in Moelfre recently. We received a very warm welcome from Pamela & Barry Taylor Taylor on our arrival at the bungalow in Maes Hyfryd & they were very helpful throughout the week-end of our stay. Excellent location & we were very lucky with the weather on the whole. The bungalow was very comfortable & even our little pooch who had been made welcome was very contented during our stay. Will definitely be visiting Anglesey again & would have no h estimation to book No 23 again.”
“The owners of the bungalow made us feel very welcome on arrival and were there to show us around and had the kettle on for a much needed cuppa.
The bungalow itself was a good size, well equipped (only thing missing was a hairdryer), very clean and tidy and ideally located for the village of Moelfre and the surrounding area.
Moelfre is a charming village in itself, but there are many other places to visit on Anglesey and too many to cram into a weekend. We visited Cemaes Bay, Red Wharf Bay, Traeth Bychan cafe, Newborough Forest. Also a meal at Ann’s Pantry, who have an outside hut (filled with cushions and blankets) where you can sit with your pooch and dine in comfort.
We stayed over Easter weekend and the weather was excellent.
Good communications and advice with Coastal Holidays.”
It was a really great place to stay.
“We really enjoyed our stay in Moelfre in the comfortable bungalow. We were made very welcome by the owner’s mum when we arrived and everything was very clean and well presented. It was the perfect place to stay to visit some lovely areas of Anglesey. We would certainly visit again.
I would also like to say how pleased I was with the service provided by Coastal Holidays- always very helpful and friendly on the telephone.
