A gorgeous cottage set within such peaceful surroundings. It made a wonderful change to hear cows mooing rather than cars passing by. The cottage has a fantastic back garden which is so big and is wonderful for kids/dogs to play in. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious for a family to enjoy and not be under each others feet.
Stayed here several times and love it here. Stunning and peaceful location and lovely modern cottage!
Relaxing Family Stay
We booked the cottage for a full family weekend with new baby and puppy. The cottage was great and we all felt we all had enough space to move around without feeling on top of each other. The surroundings are beautiful and there are good walks just outside the grounds that are well worth a try (beautiful views over Anglesey). Fabulous beaches only a short drive away too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be booking again soon.
Lovely warm and comfortable February break despite the weather!
The cottage is lovely, a very big kitchen with views of the garden. The lounge is very cosy with a gas log effect burner. Bedrooms very spacious and beds very comfortable. Gas central heating throughout so very warm and constant hot water.Wooden flooring and wooden stairs are very nice. We had a bit of a problem with the television and contacted coastal holidays who got an engineer out to sort it straightaway and also Storm Doris blew down a tree blocking the drive in and out of the properties but again coastal holidays got it sorted-very impressed with their customer service. The garden is very big and my nine year old son and two year old Granddaughter had great fun playing outside. We saw lots of red squirrels.Location wise a short drive to Benllech beach and although a bit off the beaten track it was lovely and peaceful and we had a really lovely family holiday
Lovely few days at Bodafon!
We had a really nice few days at Bodafon. The location is stunning and the cottage is really lovely. The photos don’t do it justice! It is well equipped and is well positioned for lovely beaches and walks. The dogs and my 2 year old daughter really enjoyed playing in the garden which is large and safe.
We stayed for a week at Bodafon. The accommodation was very good, fully equipped with everything you need. Sofas are a little tired but still comfortable. It perhaps would have been nice to receive a welcome pack of essentials, but that is only a minor criticism . We did have an issue with the shower but this was quickly resolved by the holiday rental company. The location is idyllic, with stunning views and peace and quite. The directions given to us take you up a very narrow single track road, there is an alternative road to take, still narrow but with more passing points, this only adds about 5 mins journey time, but worth it.! We would consider rebooking.
This cottage is an absolute gem! The views from the huge garden are stunning & the cottage is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped & fantastic location near the beaches & attractions of Anglesey. Would definitely return!
Lovely rural setting – we like out of the way places. We spent three enjoyable weeks there. The house has character and is modern at the same time.

Such a blessed holiday!
Beautiful location, immaculate yet homely house, big garden for boys to kick a ball, dogs to run free, comfy beds, tonnes of towels, hot water, what more do you need? We also loved the fact that it was no more expensive to fill the third bedroom with 2 more adults and as a result were able to invite extended family. We LOVED this holiday. So grateful to the people that came out with a brand new fridge when we had a problem with the door seal, amazing customer service. Massive thanks.

Peaceful And beautiful surroundings
Beautiful cottage in wonderful peaceful surroundings.
The cottage was equipped and furnished to a high standard and I would love to stay there again.
The only small problems we found were the shower taps were a bit stiff, we thought they weren’t working at first and the kitchen radiator thermostat didn’t seem to work so it was rather warm in the kitchen with the heating on.
Coastal Cottages provided good information, an information folder would also have been useful at the property.
Overall a very relaxing short break in a lovely property and setting, with the bonus of beautiful weather.

Very enjoyable. Everything you could require in the kitchen was there, all the bedding and towels were of good quality, an ample supply of board games and DVDs were available. Peaceful, secluded location. Stunning views. Even the weather was excellent!

Excellent location and views, only a few minuets from the beaches which are stunning, the only thing that needs looking at is the ground floor bedroom / shower, there is a glass door into the shower / toilet, the toilet is visible from the bed, should be a solid door to hide it.

a proper escape
The location of this property could not be better if you want to get away from it all; fabulous open views, red squirrels in the garden, buzzards, woodpeckers, you name it. Huge garden with plenty of parking; the only downside is the narrow lane to get there. It’s only bad for a mile or so though, and the roads are quiet. The house is lovely on the whole, with some quirks it is worth mentioning. There is a double bedroom with an ensuite at ground level…. the ensuite door is plain glass rather than frosted, which just seems odd. Upstairs, there are 2 lovely bedrooms, the ensuite again with plain glass door… it has no toilet. The toilet is in the bathroom, which is kind of in the other bedroom. Both twin rooms have pullout beds too. There is a toilet off the living room. None of these bathrooms/toilets have doors that lock.
The sitting room is lovely, with a gas “woodburner” that we had great trouble lighting. There is no phone signal of course, but the internet worked fine.
The kitchen is large and well-equipped with crockery and cutlery…. pans less so. There are some, but they are small, so I struggled with cooking for 6. Oddly, there is no coffee pot of any sort….I made coffee in a pan and strained it through paper towels in a sieve! there is a teapot, but no teastrainer, so we had to use the large sieve for that as well. The dishwasher and washing machine were unexpected bonuses.
The mat in the kitchen smelled of wet dog, so it spent our week in the shed. There was no folder of information, so we didn’t know really what to do with rubbish….we ended up putting it in the bins at the top of the estate. Likewise recycling, though there was no information about what could be recycled and what could not.
It is seriously quiet, apart from the sound of squirrels scampering over the bedroom roof early on a morning, and the ride-on mowers in the other gardens.
Anglesey is lovely, and not expensive, and it’s easy to get to Snowdonia in about 30 or 40 minutes. We loved the beaches and the view from the top of the “mountain” we were staying at the foot of. Take the best binoculars you can get your hands on, and OS maps. There are loads of ancient sites, just down tiny roads! bikes would probably be better than a car.
Supermarkets are more than adequate, but look out for the locally-produced food…the seafood lovers amongst us were raving about the Crab Shop in Benllech. Riding was cheaper than expected, in a beautiful setting at the Anglesey Riding Centre. Kayak hire also reasonable at Traeth Bychan. Beaumaris was lovely, with an amazing castle, and we could see others along the coast of the mainland.

Bodafon is our special place to meet up once a year. Situated in a quiet, private spot. We have stayed there for the past 6 years for our annual get together. My 2 daughters & their boys. We love it! Its got a great space at the back for games and every comfort for us. This year we especially enjoyed watching the red squirrels. Our favourite beaches are within a short drive at Benllech, Lligwy & Llanddona. I would most definitely recommend this cottage!!
