Eating in Anglesey

One of the greatest pleasures of any holiday is eating out and Anglesey’s reputation for food production is centuries old. Due to the unspoiled fertile agricultural land, the rich fishing waters and the mild climate, the Island’s farms and fisheries produce a wealth of excellent produce.

Coffee shops in Anglesey

The Island is blessed with an excellent range of tearooms, coffee shops and restaurants serving menus to suit all tastes whether you are looking for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or more leisurely dinner and where you can savour quality local produce. The hotels and public houses of North Wales play host to entertainment such as Welsh male voice choirs, jazz nights or simply great food in atmospheres ranging from convivial local pubs to elegant award winning restaurants.

Anglesey's renowned Welsh Lamb!

Why not try Anglesey’s renowned Welsh lamb or pedigree Welsh Black beef, both widely acclaimed for their taste and quality or sample “Lobscouse”, an Island favourite of beef and vegetables slow cooked. Since you are never far away from the sea, you will always find seafood on the menu. Quality shellfish as well as various seafood abound. The fast flowing waters of the Menai Strait is renowned for its world class oysters and mussels, which can be bought at fishmongers.
